# Deadlinus

> Deadlinus is a deadline manager for freelancers: a Telegram bot turns a forwarded job into a task with a due date, and a Windows desktop app reminds you with a pop-up above every window.

Forward the message to the bot. It asks when the work is due and keeps it from there: a reminder in Telegram, and on your desktop a pop-up above every window — with sound, even when Telegram is closed.

## Three steps, then it runs without you
1. Forward. Any message from a work chat — text, a file, a whole album of mockups. The first line becomes the title, attachments travel with the task.
2. Set the deadline. One tap: “Now”, “Today”, “Tomorrow 9:00”. Or in words — “Friday 6pm”, “in three days”. The bot uses your time zone.
3. Don't miss it. Ahead of time — a reminder in Telegram. On your desktop — a pop-up above all windows and a tray badge with today's count. An overdue task keeps speaking up.

## What else is inside
- Attachments: Files from Telegram travel with the task and open on your desktop in one click.
- Time and money: A timer per task, hourly rate, invoice amount. You see what you earned over a period.
- Recurring work: Daily, weekly, monthly — they roll forward on their own once done.
- Quick capture: Ctrl + Shift + D from any app: one line, a date in words, done.
- Desk companion: A small mascot in the corner. When work piles up, it shows. One switch turns it off.
- Look and feel: Dark and light themes, Russian and English.

## Pricing
- Free: A limited number of active tasks and one device. Forever, no card.
- Pro: Unlimited tasks and devices. Paid with Telegram Stars — right in the bot, trial included.

## Frequently asked questions
### What does Deadlinus do?
It turns a message forwarded in Telegram into a task with a due date. Then it reminds you twice: a message in Telegram and a pop-up above every window on your desktop.

### Do I need to sign up or add a card?
No. You log in with Telegram and no payment details are requested. The free plan has no time limit.

### How much does it cost?
Free — a limited number of active tasks and one device, forever. Pro — unlimited tasks and devices, paid with Telegram Stars inside the bot, trial included.

### Which platforms are supported?
The bot runs in Telegram on any device. The desktop app is for Windows; Linux builds (AppImage and deb) are available. There is no macOS build yet.

### How is it different from a regular to-do list?
A task is created where the work arrives — in chat, by forwarding one message together with its files. And the reminder is a pop-up above all windows with sound, not a notification that is easy to miss.

### Can it track time and money?
Yes. Each task has a timer, an hourly rate or a fixed amount. You can see what you earned over a period and who has not paid yet.

### Does it work offline?
No. Tasks live on the server and sync between the bot and the desktop app, so a connection is required.

### What about data privacy?
Task notes are encrypted in the database. A device is unlinked with one button in settings, after which its token stops working.
